Do you Love Me? ~Jesus Christ~

“He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me; and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him” (John 14:21).

One of the “hidden” truths of the Word of God is that we can walk in obedience to the Lord through the power of His grace…we are not to walk in habitual sin. In fact, walking in habitual sin as a believer is evidence of the fact that we have not yet known Him…this is what the Bible says, not me.

“We know that God’s children do not make a practice of sinning, for God’s Son holds them securely, and the evil one cannot touch them.” (I John 5:18)

And this one:

“We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. The man who says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But if anyone obeys his word, God’s love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did.” (I John 2:3-6)

Much of the powerlessness and apathy that weakens the body of Christ today, is the result of a false teaching of grace which covers over a life of compromise and willful sin. This teaching is so dangerous because it undermines the finished work of the Cross in the heart of the believer. Jesus died that we might be spared eternal torment and set free from the sins that torment us here on earth…

“For he has made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)

His love makes it possible to live out a fiery love walk of radical obedience …even when surrounded by a world that is consumed with selfishness and the gratification of the flesh. Because He first loved us…we have confidence to boldly approach the Throne of Grace and receive help in time of need! Most think this verse is referring to dealing with the aftermath of sin or even dealing with the temptation before sinning.

The truth is that this portion of scripture deals with the reality that all provision has been made for us to walk in radical obedience to such a degree that we are no longer enticed by sin. That which once held such glittery attraction now repulses! The power of God is available to you and me so that we might be free from sin! Any interpretation of scripture that makes allowance for us to continue on in sin is inspired by a religious spirit…religion at it’s base, is that which has a “form of godliness but denies the power thereof.” The power to what? The power to change! Look at what the Word of God says…

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” (2 Timothy 3:1-7)

When we see Him as He truly is…we are changed forever and there is nothing which can take us out of His hand. We must draw near to Him in humility and childlike faith, expecting that we will see Him!! He has made all provision for intimacy! This intimate love walk empowers us to walk in absolute obedience which in turn releases all the wonders of these realities in Him..new light, new hope, great joy, glorious peace and abounding faith.

“For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation— if you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the gospel.” (Colossians 1:9-23)

So few ever walk in this kind of relationship with God that the experience of the majority has become our modern day “Christianity”. This is not a biblical faith but a system devised by men who are frustrated with the intense devotion God has called us to…His love cannot be earned, it has to be caught! Get caught by His love today and repent of every thought pattern and habit that has kept you bound in religion!

If you are bound by habitual sin…sexual immorality, lying, gluttony, covetousness, gossip, fits of anger, pride, arrogance, haughtiness, self righteousness, unforgiveness, resentment, bitterness…the list could go on…and you are a bible believing Christian, you are bound by religion! If you see any of these sins operating in your life, don’t make any excuse for them. Can I invite you to come before the Lord in this very moment and confess your sin to Him? Based on what you just read, do you believe that He has made complete provision for you to be free from all sin right now? Please say this prayer out loud and receive what Jesus won for us on the cross of Calvary:

Father, I come before you now, in the name of Your son Jesus. I confess the sin of _______________ to You, God and I ask You to forgive me. Cleanse me of all unrighteousness by the power that is in the Blood of Jesus. I reject every lie that says I cannot walk in complete victory through the finished work of the Cross. I invite you to be enthroned in my heart as the Lord of my life. Thank You for opening my eyes to see every good thing You have given me in Christ. Thank You for Your grace that empowers me to live a life of radical obedience to You, God. Fill me with Your love so that You overflow from every part of my life. I welcome the supernatural ministry of Your Holy Spirit into every aspect of my life and I thank You for setting me on fire with Your vision for the lives of everyone I encounter. I love You, Jesus! Amen.

Now worship Him and give Him thanks for what you have just received! The Lord bless you!
MAY THRONE ROOM LIGHT BE THE BRIGHTNESS OF ALL YOUR DAYS!!!!

“Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.” (Jude 24 & 25)
